Parking question for legal eagles......
my gym is a 5min walk from my work. most mornings i go to the gym in the morning, park at the gym, leave the car there and pick it up after work. by the time i'm done at the gym there's no parking spaces left at my work.
this morning a chap who works at the gym informed me that i cant leave my car there during the day. i ignored him and walked to work anyway.

legally do they have a leg to stand on? as a paying member surely i can park for however long i want within gym opening hours?

thanks in advance.

Gavvy let's look at the evidence:

- you don't have a driving license
- 1 (one) egg omelettes
- 30 inch waist

When are you coming out?

Without seeing your gym contract it is difficult to say.

That said, I expect it would be deemed by the court to be an implied term, if it isn't specifically stated in the membership contract anyway, that the car park is only available whilst you are actually using the gym. After that you become a trespasser effectively

That's why he drives around in an E reg Ford escort 1.3L. It's not that they mind about people parking their cars there, its that he parks his car there.

Fucking hell. You pay 100 notes a month for David Lloyd?

I'm not surprised you're too thick to work out where's best to park your car.

Outstanding angling Goose, stunningly teased rolled meat over the gravels and through the streamer weed

Bloody net is heaving man with a fair few multiple captures and a few named fish too

Archie Braddocks, then frozen down?

Re: Parking question for legal eagles......
Why don't you just run straight to work? Then you won't even need to go to the gym.

No parking issues and £100 a month saved. Simple

Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire ... the A-Team.

Legally it's private land therefore they can choose the rules. In practice though it's difficult to enforce, although I believe it's now legal to clamp cars on private land so they may do that.

If I was the gym manager though I'd just revoke you're gym membership if you continuesd to flout the rules

And AG at gavros being driven around in his Mrs white corsa

Re: Parking question for legal eagles......
I'm not going to waste my time reading this thread but surely someone has suggested Goose parks at work and walks to the gym? He himself admits it's a five minute walk.

Not rocket science is it?

..Or is there more to it than that? Maybe he DOESN'T have a parking place at work and parks in the gym car-park because it's the only place he can park and considers it a good dodge (and a dodge someone at the gym has noticed so it's about to end?)

Goose drives a pedal car that's why his gym gets pissed off.

Gavvy the only thing gayer than not being able to drive is a 1 (one) egg omelette.
